Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for Real Estate Websites
Guidelines and Tips to Improve your Listings
Competition for organic search traffic is fierce. Optimize your search engine rankings of your Property Listings by creating content that both people and search engines can navigate easily.
Search Engine Optimization for Real Estate Websites.
You need to ensure your listings are getting seen at the top of search engine results when people start their online search. And to do that, you need a solid search engine optimization (SEO) strategy.
Property Title:
Include Location Name.
(example: Not just Paphos but also Suburb or exact Location like Kato Paphos.)
Description:
The better the description (including the Location Name which is in the Title) the easier Google will find, read and index it.
(For example: if you are trying to list a 250 mtr ² apartment in Limassol, you might list it as “250 mtr² Apartment in Limassol.”)
But if keyword research shows you that more people are searching for “one bedroom apartment in Limassol,” that’s probably a better choice.
AIOSEO:
Fill out all the SEO Section Areas. The Meta Description gets filled out automatically but is often too long.
You can delete that Block and add your own manual Meta Description again using Location and short intro with relevant keywords.
AIOSEO SOCIAL Tab:
You can change the Image, Title and short Description of what Facebook will post if somebody shares this Post to Facebook.
Focus Key-phrase or Word:
This should be a Word which potential Customers would use to find your particular Listing. (Very important).
This determines also the overall SEO Score.
You can click on the little Pencil next to the word to edit or change it to see if the Score improves.
Featured Image:
Large, good Quality Image but optimized for Web-use. The featured image should have Minimum Width of 770 pixels and Minimum Height of 386 pixels.
Gallery Images:
Images should have minimum size of 1170px by 648px for thumbnails on right and 830px by 460px for thumbnails on bottom. Bigger size images will be cropped automatically. Minimum 2 images are required to display gallery.

Other Property Details:
Generally speaking. The more details are provided the better Google and other Search Engines (don’t forget there are others !) will index the Listing.
It will take a little bit more Time and Effort to list a Property with the correct details but it is worth the while as it will show up better in Google Search Results eventually.
Put yourself in the Shoes of the Searching Property Customer and think what HE would put into the Search Engine for the Property HE is looking for, and THEN add that Word as Keyword to your Listing.
What are your MAIN KEYWORDS your website should be found for?
Take 5 to 10 Keywords and have them build into your Website.
Don’t make them TOO GENERAL (like “Cyprus Property for Sale”) but rather focus on more specific or local Areas (like “Coral Bay Property or Houses for Sale”) or “Coral Bay Long Term Rent”)
If you know that your company doesn’t have the time to dedicate SEO, but recognizes the value of SEO, think about investing in real estate LOCAL SEO services. With professional SEO services, your business can attract more clients and sell more homes, without cutting into your busy day.
Keep in mind that SEO is a long-term strategy and you should not expect to see results overnight.
